Ljósleidarinn (Reykjavík Fibre Network) is a telecommunications company owned by Reykjavík Energy (Orkuveitan) and founded as Gagnaveita Reykjavíkur in 2007. The owners of Reykjavík Energy are the City of Reykjavík, Akraneskaupstaður and Borgarbyggð.
The role of Ljósleiðarinn is to provide Icelandic homes and businesses with access to high-quality services on an open access network. We operate an open network, and all Icelandic telecommunications companies are available to provide their services via our network.
